We started SRT Marine with a commitment to three things:

We work with you to bring your boat to the best shape possible. We think you know what is best for your boat, so we talk to you to find out what you want. We can make recommendations and give you options, but you sail your boat and we think you should tell us what you want, not the other way around. When I take my car to my mechanic, I tell him what is wrong and he fixes it. Usually. Although I am happy with this arrangement for my car, I also know that if my car breaks down help is never very far away. We do not think this model works well for boats. When we have work done on our boat, we want to know what is involved. What material is being used? Why is that choice made? Would a different piece of equipment serve our needs better? We want to have a say in that, and we believe our customers feel the same way. So, drop us a line, and talk to us. And if you don't care about your boat and would rather trust us to do a great job on her--well, we can do that too!

It seems the days of chivalry are long dead in the service industry. We do not expect our vendors to ride off in white horses and chain mail. We do, however, expect them to give us reasonable expectations and meet them in a timely manner. We think our customers expect the same. So we will work with you on scheduling and make promises we can keep. And keep them.

Lastly, we like to enjoy the beauty of nature while on the water, and we believe our customers agree. We have become aware that nature disagrees with the toxicity of most boat chemicals. We would like to see this natural beauty expanded, and intend to do all our work in the most environmentally friendly way we can. And at least Katie knows a thing or two about toxicity in natural environments. Read about her in the "about us" section.
